The weld (yes, "weld" singular) holding the metal rod in the grip to the blade snapped during shipping. in addition to this, the very tip was bent.This seems to have been a poor handling issue in shipping, not a production defect, but it was still disappointing. I'll update my review when my replacement arrives.I understand it's a display piece, but still, it seems flimsy.UPDATE: My replacement arrived today. (other photos, soda can for scale) I am very pleased with it, this one seems very sturdy and shows no signs of potentially breaking. Good quality, and definitely work the 30 bucks they're selling it for.Even though it's a display piece it did hold up well while I was randomly swinging it around the house and slashing at my bed while shouting "Arrrrr!".The sheath is nice quality as well. It's real leather, not thin or flimsy. it's a bit awkward to draw out, but that's because of the curvature of the blade. It has a nice big loop so it'll fit on one of those comically large pirate belts.Overall I'm very satisfied.They should consider shipping it in a better box. The ones they ship them in are flimsy and have very little padding/bubble wrap. I'd gladly pay a little more for it and have it arrive undamaged.
