I was pleasantly surprised by the fit and finish. The blade came sharp, but with a few swipes on a super fine stone, it was shaving. We will see how long it keeps the edge. The look of this knife is great. It's as if it dropped out of the time line in the 1800's right into my lap. The handles are nicely finished and look antique. They are a little slight in their size, but not so much as to be unusable. The sheath is serviceable, but not great. It is a leather with foam sandwiched in between. This seems to be the standard of cheaper blades like this, but creating a new one should not be a problem. It should last for a while. The knife feels balanced and fast in the hands. I haven't put it through typical bowie knife paces, wood craft, etc, but it feels like it should hold up. For the price, it really is a deal. If you are into re-enactment, this would be a nice side arm to carry and use. As has been stated by others, the Pakistan stamp comes right off easily with a 3M scrubber. So you don't have to worry about some glaring thing that says it is cheap. I'm dubious as to the steal, but will try to patina it later. If it is stainless, this won't work, but if there is enough carbon, this could turn out to be quite a nice display and use piece. For the money, you really can't go too far wrong.
