I purchased these Styrofoam heads for a Boy Scouts of America summer camp for the Sculpting merit badge. The first one was 5.95, and each additional one was 5 cents additional, which led me to choose this item. I have to say that I was rather impressed with the quality of the product. The Styrofoam was extremely dense, and difficult to damage, even for pre-teen boys. They molded modeling clay onto the face to create a bust, and were able to remove the clay as many times as needed in order to change their designs. I was quite surprised to see that there was absolutely no damage to the product after this repeated process. While I'm sure that most other purchasers of this item will not use it as we did, I hope that this description will help you feel comfortable with the durability of the item.
