I liked all the different sizes of these pens for outlining my drawings. I also like the stylish case to hold the pens. So far my favorite thing about the pens is that the ink does not bleed through in my sketchbooks. My paper is 65lb. thick. I've been using these for about a month, and my 0.5 size pen has already dried up and quit working. I did not leave the cap off either to allow it to dry out. I thought Derwent brand pens would last longer than a month. I highly doubt I will purchase these again in the future, but they were great to start out with.In a handy assortment of point sizes, these pens compare to the Pigma versions in my sketch box. They deliver even permanent lines wherever you want them.I use them to ink the best pencil lines when sketching outdoors before adding hints of watercolor. So far, they've worked fine. You can trust these to write or draw smoothly as you transmit your ideas to paper.Great pens for sketching and drawing. I also used them as an outline for watercoloring and they didn’t smear or smudge! Sepia color is fabulous. They write very smooth and do not ghost if you want to use them as an everyday pen.I bought these for writing on a canvas and they worked great. They did not smear at all. The color is a dark brown and they came in a little case. These pens have an excellent graphite color. If you are trying to shade, they can do so by either layering or changing the speed of the pen on the paper. (slower = darker, faster = lighter)That being said, the bleeding and feathering is significant on paper that experiences none of either with similar liners / pens. If you move the pen quickly you can avoid the feathering, but bleed through is still an issue.Next, I wouldn't recommend these for use with watercolors, because even after 72 hours to dry, they will not stand up to a wet brush. These are amazing pigment-based pens that work well on acrylic-painted canvas (even canvas with very textural paint application)- something I haven't found in any other fine-tipped markers. They do require a bit of time to dry or else they smudge, but once dry they are fixed, and subsequent applications of paint or glaze don't smudge or lift them. And if you need to paint over them, they do not bleed through.I LOVE these markers- they are juicy and go on smoothly and a joy to use. Finally, I can get razor sharp thin lines on my paintings.Perfect for my outlining needs! 3 thicknesses to choose from. Creates the perfect line! Will definitely purchase again. They were okay to use. However, you can't use watercolours/other inks or even markers with them as they bleed. I found the Sipa fineliners are better suited to what I need when illustrating as they don't bleed and dry quicker than the ink produced from these pens. If you are just looking for a fineliner to use on its own without any other media then these are perfectly suited for you. If you like to mix your media I wouldn't recommend this brand.I'm used to Mitsubishi Unipin liners, but seeing these on sale during black Friday I had to buy them. The function of the pens is as you'd expect they're the same size and line quality, flow as a Mitsubishi equivalent. However the design and materials used are in my opinion much better. The fibre tip is very strong, often with 0.05 nibs they can be fragile however that is not the case here.If you watch the product video for these you can see the fantastic design of the pen body and caps, what it wont show you is the great materials used, the plastic body of some other Fine Liners can be slippery or overly smooth, these are smooth however they feel almost laminated, they have a transparent soft plastic covering the solid pen body which gives them a non slip grip that's really easy on your fingers and allows you to hold them gently without them sliding. The Presentation of these with the high quality stitched vinyl case which is beautifully designed make these a great gift for any artist. In summary they are definitely worth full retail and I'm glad I purchased them during black Friday at nearly half off.For me, this is my favoured fine liner hands down. I am probably on my 6th or so pack from over the years of using it and though I have certainly tried other brands, this is the one that suits me perfectly. One of my main materials is copic markers and this does not bleed at all with it. The line variety is perfect. The nibs are hardy and never had one fray or split. A little bend perhaps due to lots of pressure for me when they are at end of their life but still very usable.Black is true to colour, they do have grey and sepia available too, I would wish they come out with other colours (dont get confused by the paintliners that look similar as they are a different product.)However, if you are a first time purchaser of fineliners or perhaps curious about other brands, I would recommend these, they have never disappointed me and I they are perfect for line art.The liners arrived on time and are in Gretna condition.Although I am not a professional artist, I believe liners are qualitative and the ink is great for outlining drawings and sketches. The pen itself is easy to grip (which I am thankful for after trying out some other liners from different competitors) and has an elegant, simplistic design. The case in which it is delivered is made out of plastic and has a zentangle design imprinted on it. I find it very easy to carry around when leaving the house, which is another great aspect that I love about it. In conclusion, I would recommend it to everyone. A big thumbs up from me!Mhm, wouldn't buy again ... colour is not very strong ... ok-ish, but sort of faded when it comes out of the pen ... nib is on the scratchy side ... also: I actually bought these because of other reviewers having said, that the colour is not waterproof, hoping to get a bit of a water color effect... unfortunately, as the ink is weak in the first place, there is hardly anything there to spread colorwise ... won't budge when it's dry ... disappointing and wouldn't buy again or any other colours of this line ...
