They do leave more dusty powdery residue when using for professional artist use, but great for pop of color on watercolor. Good for beginner. They state non toxic for useThe package arrived sooner than expected. Also, packaged in a way that keeps the pastels from being broken.I used Mungyo soft pastels years ago. They are good for beginner-intermediate artists. They aren't as soft and pigmented as, say, Sennelier (which I have also used), but for the price, it's hard to beat.I bought this for clay I haven't used the chalk itself yet but the package was good my only slight problem was the chalks were a tiny bit messyA lot of variety of colors for the money. Easy to blend for amazing results. These chalks can be used by beginners or anyone wanting professional resultsI was not happy with these. They are extremely messy and leave dust everywhere. I bought them for my 8 year old and what a mistake that was. Everytime she uses them her, the table and the floor are covered in dust.
