Bought this for my 100lb pit-bull. He destroys most rubber toys, so I've learned over time not to let him just sit and chew on it, he has other things to satisfy that urge. After a few play sessions there are noticeable teeth marks but no chunks missing or anything of that sort. The teeth marks do tell me that if I allowed him to chomp away this wouldn't hold up but like I stated earlier not many do.My dogs have about 5 of these and I am buying 2 more. They last forever (unless your lawn guy runs it over) and have really only ever gotten worn down by summer-sun exposure. My German Shepherds can easily grab these out of the air and chomp all they want—these never break. Does the squeaker fall inside and stop squeaking? Yes. But I am happy when that happens. Super fun. Super strong. These are well worth the price and I only but extras because I am terrified they will stop making them and I will have to find a replacement.but it didn't last long for my tough chewer. He had a lot of fun though, so I have to give it 4 stars.Even for a tough chewer, this thing has lasted! She loves running around the yard with it throwing it up in the air. We play fetch with it too. She loves footballs and this one was well worth it!My dog is a super aggressive chewer and kills all of her toys. This is one of the few toys that she hasn’t been able to chew into 900 litte pieces. She was able to remove the squeaker and chew the tip of the football, but it still in tact enough for me to throw.I’ve subscribed to these because it’s very hard to find toys for my girl that won’t b destroyed in 5 minutes.Very durable for 2 German Shepherds for use in the pool. Love that it has a drain hole.Nice quality dog toys and affordableI got this for fetch for my 80 lb lab and it was too heavy for him to catch, even on a bounce. It hit him pretty hard in the mouth and he didn’t want to play with it after that. Maybe if you used it for a squeaker to carry around, it would work, but it’s pretty heavy for fetch.Lasted a whole three months in the possession of a Patterdale terrier puppy before he finally managed to bite a chunk out of it. Genuinely hardwearing. Which is rare as all dog owners will know!My little yorkie loved it but destroyed it in a weekI bought this toy for my English bullterrier and it only lasted five minutes before she had ripped it apart and managed to eat some before I could get it back, so I would not recommend this toy for any sort of bull breed or destructive dog.my great dane loves this toy and best of all its not that loud a squeek, has lasted two weeks so far so doing well***Aug 2015*** Squeeker finally broke after one year of abuse. Bought a new one to replace it. Still a favorite. Doggy loves it.***Jan 11 2015*** This toy is always a favorite at the dog park and we sometimes have difficulty getting it back from other dogs. Our greyhound loves to play with it - when there are no other dogs around to steal it from him. The ball now has some indentations (teeth marks) in it, but the squeeker still works after over 6 months and it is in relatively good shape, considering all the dogs that got their teeth in it. :) Great toy.***June 27 2014*** We have a greyhound and he is not normally super interested balls. We got him interested a little in a round squeeky ball because it makes noise, but even that he was not too found of, he ignores it after 1-2 minutes and if it is out for an extended period of time he starts ignoring it.But this squeeky football, wow does he love it! I'm not sure if it is the shape that makes it easier for him to grab/chew on, the different noise, or something else, but he's had it for over 2 weeks now and he is still completely in love with it! And he will play with this football longer than with any other of his toys (including his old favorite ones).If you would like to play ball with your dog and he does not seem interested, try this one - it might just work!
